With the advent of AI in the UX world, UXers are frequently under pressure to show that UX is providing measurable value. All too often, stakeholders focus on the wrong metrics – for instance, looking at raw user numbers rather than how experiences can improve user happiness and lead to better outcomes. Focus on the wrong metrics can lead to poor user experiences. However, by advocating for the right measurements, UXers can help stakeholders understand why UX matters.
This talk will discuss how to select metrics that measure the user experience and yield actionable outcomes. Attendees will learn about defining metrics for a range of use cases, including creating metrics for early stage products or products with few users. The talk will conclude with strategies for communicating the value of these metrics to stakeholders and how to ensure the entire team is focused on the right objectives.
